Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) has received recognition as one of the top three employers in the country. This serves
as a strong testament to ALI's dedication to the well-being and growth of its employees. The accolade comes
from a joint survey conducted by the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Statista, the world’s leading data and business
intelligence platform headquartered in Germany, with operations spanning 13 locations worldwide.
ALI achieved an impressive rating of 9.15 out of a perfect score of 10, marking a significant improvement from its
previous ranking of 48th place last year. Additionally, parent company Ayala Corporation and two other Ayala Land
subsidiaries, Ayala Property Management Corporation and Makati Development Corporation, also made it onto the
list.
The acknowledgment, which coincides with Ayala Land’s 35th-anniversary celebration, underscores the company’s
unwavering focus on its workforce as the driving force behind the company’s sustained growth, solidifying its status
as an employer of choice for Filipinos.
Holistic Employee Development Initiatives
Ayala Land’s approach to employee engagement goes beyond professional growth, extending into holistic
development that encompasses mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Employees actively participate
in individualized development programs, leveraging a mix of self-paced learning, online modules, facilitator-led
training, and blended learning approaches.
The company fosters a healthy lifestyle among its workforce through various initiatives, including sports festivals,
onsite gyms, and sports competitions such as football, golf, and bowling. Community events like Car-Free Sunday
Mornings at Ayala Avenue not only encourage physical activity but also strengthen ties among employees.
For relaxation and leisure, ALI organizes company socials and provides special discounts at its malls, hotels, and
resorts, promoting a balanced work-life dynamic. Additionally, the presence of onsite chapels and prayer rooms
caters to the spiritual needs of its diverse workforce.
Focus on Sustainability; Malasakit as a core value
Employees at Ayala Land find pride and purpose in contributing to sustainable development initiatives. Team members actively contribute to designing, building, and nurturing sustainable developments, not just for immediate economic growth but with a vision for the benefit of future generations. The commitment is tangible, with employees actively participating in voluntours for tree-growing activities in ALI’s dedicated 586 hectares of carbon forests across five locations in the country.
The core value of “Malasakit” — genuine care and empathy — is deeply ingrained in ALI’s organizational culture. This ethos extends from the organization to its employees and, reciprocally, from the employees to their stakeholders. This creates a stable and supportive work environment, motivating employees to go the extra mile and realizing their potential in contributing to nation-building.
“To be recognized as one of the Best Employers by the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Statista is a great honor and it also comes with great responsibility,” Isabel Sagun, Chief Human Resources Officer of ALI said at her keynote presentation. “Our unwavering commitment is to always strive to stay relevant in the eyes of our employees, our customers, our partners, our investors, and the community we serve with the hope that we will bring a positive impact on the Philippine society and ultimately enrich lives of more Filipinos.”
Ayala Land’s recognition as one of the top three best employers reflects not only its dedication to the professional growth of its workforce but also its unwavering commitment to their holistic well-being, sustainability, and the core values that define the organization. As the company celebrates its 35th anniversary, it stands as a beacon of excellence and a model for creating a workplace that values its most valuable asset – its people.
